Case Study - Blastquip Holdtite 102 Salt Remover

Fitzroy Engineering Group Ltd successfully used the Holdtite 102 product to remove salts contamination in new high grade carbon steel plates prepared for hull repairs to a floating offshore platform.
American Bureau of Shipping were required to approve of the standards prior to coating and then the fitting and welding into the hull structure.
It was found that a rag to wash the solution on to the plates was more effective than brushing which seemed to cross contaminate before hosing off solution.
